Wow! What a crazy few weeks. We have been so busy!! It’s taken me a while to get this on here, as we have had some technical issues!!
Last week we headed off to Melbourne for a family wedding! Olivia loved having mummy and daddy all to herself for the week. So, while daddy was off doing all his ‘best man duties’, Olivia and I took in our surroundings.
We decided to take advantage of all the christmas attractions they have there. I have to say that I felt a lot more ‘Christmassy‘ there for some reason. I think they have more going on.

We headed to Swanston Street to visit Santa in Christmas square! The whole square had been converted with a beautiful christmas tree, Santa’s grotto and Santa’s Elf’s! Olivia enjoyed finding the reindeer’s and collecting her stamps in the maze! After she was finished, she was given a transfer sticker to say ‘well done’ for finding all the reindeer.

The next day, we headed to Bourke Street and straight to the window display at Myer. Every year Myer picks a story book theme, and bring it to life! This year they chose Rob Scotton’s, Russell’s Christmas Magic. The queues were quite long but worth the wait. Olivia loved hearing the story and yes….we bought the book
!

Just as we were leaving, someone asked us if we had been to see Santa upstairs? Olivia wasnt sure if she would like to see Santa, but I managed to persuade her!We took the train to Santa Land and knocked on Santa’s door. When Santa told us to come in, Olivia got a bit scared. The only way we could get a picture is if I sat beside Santa! As you can see from Olivia’s face, she is not so sure! She loved the train ride but told me after that she didn’t like Santa! I’m sure she will change her mind when he leaves her present’s.

In our last effort to fit in all things christmas, we went to the Crown Casino. The have a lovely festive scene set out each year. It’s always nice for kids to see. This year they had christmas baubles on the floor and on the ceiling. Inside the ones on the floor was nativity scenes, that you could see by looking with binoculars. Also, every 15 minutes or so the ones on the ceiling had the 12 days of christmas song projected on them!

Olivia couldn’t wait to go back to daycare when she got home, to tell everyone about her trip!
